Livingston's sons did not let him down doing quite well in racing and Elliott and Charlie qualified for the Incredible Dog Challenge!
Kimberlite Elliott had a good trial, he had to compete with his younger brother Charlie and Charlie out ran him in the Championships both days but Saturday Elliott won the Stakes racing ! Missed my old performance dogs, as buddies and sad not to have an Agility partner for this trial, and they had no obedience which Elliott and I have been practicing!

Incredible Dog Challenge 2009 San Diego

Kimberlite Livingston were invited to the Incrdible Dog Challenge in San Diego June 2009. The Western Regional Competition was held- June 12-13, 2009 - San Diego (Del Mar), CA at the San Diego County Fair. We were excited to be able to compete, I picked out a hotel on the ocean, by the Del Mar Horse Horse Racing track. We had a fun time exploring the beach before the event. I also got to combine an visit with my brother Jonathan and his family so it was a doubly special event.

Livingston's son Elliott also qualified but they said only one dog per family so....Livingston having seniority got the spot!

We looked forward to the practice day on Friday and visiting with some of our Jack friends. I ran into seeveral of the Purina and Carson Events people that we had met over the many different times that Livingston had participated in the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge.

Livingston was his usual calm self for racing and ran well on the practice day and we had a nice dinner with my brother and his family. We had a great run on the beach both friday night and Saturday morning.

Livingston and I were asked to do an agility run to allow the camera men to plan out their filming for the competitors. It was an honor and Liv took it as such and was quite the ham! We had a pretty good run and several friends were impressed! Ken Saunders got some beautiful pictures of Livingston, I have posted several here

He was all ready to go when racing came up and competed like the champ that he was. he did great in the heats keeping up with the younger dogs and qualified for the final. then....He won the Incredible dog challenge Western Regionals ! I was so proud and at the age of 8 wow! I cried as they placed the medal around his neck, but they were tears of joy!

First trial (Show) of 2009 and then UC Davis Picnic Day Racing

Just got back from the South Coast Jack Russell Terrier Trial.. and the dogs did fantastic!!

I went by myself, Barry stayed home, he had to work Saturday and someone has to take care of the rest of the crew and the horses ! I brought Kimberlite Livingston, Kimberlite Elliott, Salishan Krest to show and brought Salishan Glide for some more socialization time!

We had a great time with friends and the weather was beautiful! We camped with Gary and Dawn Kelly and had supper with them and Kelly and Connie. It is a really nice sight in Anaheim. Our dogs did fantastic. Our conformation went ok, not great, my friend Dawn did great. Krest won her class, and Elliott was second in his, Glide went into Conformation to practice handling and she got a 3rd.

Krest and Elliott both competed in GTG and Super Earth. Both zoomed through the Championship Tunnel and I was so very pleased that they placed so well. Salishan Krest was Under GTG Champion , and Kimberlite Elliott was Under GTG Reserve Champion!!

Krest zoomed right through the Super Earth, but Elliott decided to demolish the tunnel, finally escaping and going to find the rat around the bales and was eliminated, but he had fun ! However Krest was Under Super Earth Champion!

Livingston was practicing his Obedience prior to the competition and a fellow came over to speak to us and commented on how much of a team we were, that made me very proud, His run was flawless this time and he watched me intently, we have been working on a trick that when he is in a Lay Down Stay I partially close my eyes and he does the same like a siesta instead of a forced down stay, and it worked! We were 1st in our Division and High Point in Obedience !
Racing went really well for all 3 terriers!

Livingston won both Veteran classes- Hurdles and Flats and was Veteran over Racing Champion. Krest won both the Novice Flat and Hurdles so I guess next time she get to try racing with those bigger bitches! Elliott suprised me placing 2nd in Under Dogs Flats and then Winning Under Hurdles ! So he made the Championship, not bad for his first real shot since an adult , last fall he hurt his foot in the first heat of flats! Well... He .. was Reserve Champion !! I was so very proud of him! Barry says maybe he is following in Dad's foot prints we shall see! On to the Caella Memorial Racing Trophy- The race between all the Winners in Racing all ages, all Heights ! Kimberlite Livingston WON the Perpetual Trophy, against all those youn dogs I was so proud and suprised I cried a bit! and Lisa and Sam said that they were so happy for us, as they knew Livingston was as special to us as Cabella was to them ! I have posted a picture!

A very special weekend, we came home with 7 big ribbons and from only 3 dogs wowo!

Ok we got back two weeks ago and I did not get this post finished as soon as I had hoped ....but..

I had a lot to plan the Racing at UC Davis which I took on this year, it was a lot of work to set up, but I think all that participated had fun and the dogs sure enjoyes the day, and we had a lot of spectators. Salishan Krest, J&J Coyote and Kimberlite Bonney, Elliot and Tessa all came along for the fun . Barry ran the Lure the whole day and we had the best UC Davis volunteer in Marina Pelayo. All the club members really helped out and we made lots of new friends. Kimberlite Issac came with his mom and dad (Human) and sister( JRT- not related!) They had fun and Issac caught onto racing right away and came in 2nd in first race behind his dad, J&J Coyote and 2nd in his second race behind his mom Kimberlite Bonney

Elliot was first in Under Dogs, Krest was second in under bitches and Coyote was first in over dogs, Bonney was the fastest of the Day!!! Good girl, she had a chance to really shine without Livingston there to take the spotlight!

Kimberlite Livingston Won the Flat and Hurdles for the Veterans and was Veterans Champion. Little Kimberlite Elliott got his first shot at racing competition and is quickly getting the idea, he won the flats and was second in hurdles, but in the Finals he really followed that lure and He was Champion under Puppy for the day!

We attended the CGJRTC 2008 shows and did extremely well, I was only able to show a few of the dogs as I had to drive back 3 1/2 hours on Sat night for my brother's 50th birthday surprise party and 3 1/2 hours back Sun am But it was well worth it...

I went up to judge the Rainer Trial this year 2008 and brought along Kimberlite Elliott for some 1 on 1 time and to get a chance to show him . It was a really nice weekend. Great trial site great people, lots of nice dogs. Elliott won his Conformation class, was Puppy GTG Champion, Puppy Racing Champion and Puppy Barn Hunt Champion Wow tthen they named him Super Puppy and he got even more prizes Barry and I were very proud of him What a way to end your puppy career.

We had a busy time at the Diggin West Trial, Dawn always puts on a really nice trial and we wanted to support her , so entered too many classes for me to physically make it to! But We did well, Barry came with and we camped there Inja decided she would come along and had clean runs in Agility 1, 2 and 3 though not fast enought to keep up with the younger guys though she placed well. She also placed 3rd in Super Earth Open division (not bad for 12 years old!) Kimberlite Livingston was Veteran Racing Champion both days. J&J Coyote Jonz was Reserve Open Dog under Sandra Ferber, Elliott, Bently and Glide won all their conformation classes both days and Salishan Glide was Reserve Best Bitch Puppy under Sandra Ferber (great way to end her puppy career!). Kimberlite Bonney was 2nd in the big Jumpers class, with a Q behind the super fast clean run of Connie McKee. Livingston placed in his Agility runs and in GTG. I have forgotten some I know ...
